A. DAVID GIORDANO is the Managing Partner of
Panuzio & Giordano Public Affairs, LLC, a full-service government relations firm with offices
in Alexandria, VA and Hartford, CT. Mr. Giordano brings to the firm’s public and private
sector clients a variety of experiences in helping to identify sources of federal and state funding.
Since starting Panuzio & Giordano Public Affairs with partner Nicholas Panuzio in 2003, Mr. Giordano has
worked with real estate developers, public and private sector companies and several different municipal
entities. Prior to this, from 2001 to 2003, he was a principal member in the public affairs consulting
firm Panuzio Business Strategies, LLC. He specializes in helping his clients deal with many issues
before the United States Congress as well as with other facets of the federal government. Because of the
uniqueness of the firm, Mr. Giordano is involved in also helping his clients deal with state and local
governments particularly in Connecticut. Some of the issues the firm specializes in include
transportation, economic development, homeland security, housing and municipal government.
Mr. Giordano has been involved with many different political campaigns at the federal,
state and local levels. Most recently in 2006 he was the Deputy Campaign Manager for the historic
independent reelection of United States Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT).
From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Giordano directed grassroots and political strategy for The Boeing Company
in their government relations office in Arlington, VA. In this capacity he worked with a series of
external groups to form coalitions with the ultimate goal of influencing the public policy debate
on several international trade issues that were before the Congress. In addition, he helped build
a permanent trade infrastructure in twenty-five states and coordinated the efforts of Washington,
DC groups such as the Business Roundtable, US Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers,
the high-tech and other business associations with state and local coalitions and associations.
Mr. Giordano also managed the Boeing Government Action Network, an advocacy vehicle for Boeing employees and suppliers.
Prior to his working with Boeing, from 1992 to 1998, Mr. Giordano was a part of two major government relations firms,
Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly and APCO Associates, Inc. These experiences allowed him to focus on
a variety of issues for clients at the congressional and federal agency levels.
Currently, Mr. Giordano sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Transit District and for
years has been heavily involved with the National Italian-American Foundation at local and national
levels. Over the years he has also been a youth baseball coach at various levels.
Mr. Giordano received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Union College
in Schenectady, NY and a Masters of Public Administration specializing in Executive, Legislative and
Regulatory Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. |
